Lawrence (Larry) Ferrone, the owner of LuxRideFlorida, originally started in the luxury transportation business in the Chicagoland area during 2015. Larry was born and raised on the East Coast and was working in New York City as a credit analyst when a business analyst opportunity in the Telecom industry drew him to the Chicago area in 2001. He has always been an avid car enthusiast and in 2015 had purchased a Tesla Model S. Later in 2015 he was a victim of the corporate downsizing that plagued the Telecom industry. Unemployed for the first time since graduating college in 1985, he was looking for a different challenge.

While looking for new career opportunities, he stayed busy and picked up a few bucks by transporting friends and former business associates to/from local airports and events. He loved to drive and talk cars and wanted to spend some time driving his new Tesla. He soon realized that the low maintenance and operational costs of his Tesla allowed him to provide a cutting edge, luxury transportation experience at very competitive pricing. Discussions with friends and former colleagues soon convinced him to marry his natural customer service mindset with his love of cars, driving and technology into a formal luxury transportation business. Late in 2015, EV-Ride Chicagoland was launched.

His obsession was to provide a superior transportation experience and the Tesla Model S proved to be the perfect car for that endeavor. Spacious, comfortable, safe, reliable and economical, the Model S was an important factor in EV-Ride Chicagoland’s unblemished safety and reliability record. In an industry that is plagued with “no-shows”, fluctuating pricing and not so friendly staff, that passion for customer service allowed him to grow EV-Ride Chicagoland and expand its fleet during the period 2015-2018.

During 2018, Larry and his wife felt the time was right to finally move to South Florida, a location they had talked about living since they got married. EV-Ride Chicagoland already had a number of customers with personal and business ties to the South Florida area and the demand for affordable, luxury transportation was not limited to Chicago. In 2018 operations moved to Boynton Beach, FL and LuxRideFlorida was born. The Tesla Model S vehicles of LuxRideFlorida now provide travelers in South Florida with the spacious, comfortable, safe and economical rides that won over business professionals and casual travelers alike in Chicagoland. So whether it’s Airports or Cruise Ports Service, Events (Weddings, Concerts, Proms, Sporting Events), Destination Excursions (Orlando Theme Parks, Kennedy Space Center, etc.), or a night out to meet family and friends, we are ready to provide South Floridians with the affordable, luxury, transportation experience they deserve.
